Austrumi is a bootable Linux-based program that allows you to look at and modify passwords on your PC. You can use Austrumi to recover and reset forgotten passwords.

Insert the Austrumi disk into your PC. Reboot your computer.
Type "nt-pass" (without the quotes) when the command prompt appears. This will launch a console utility that detects Windows partitions on the hard disk and brings up a menu to modify the passwords on the system.
Enter the new password over the old password in the menu. Apply the changes and restart your computer. Enter your new password when prompted.
