How Do You Strip a 3 Button Audi Key Fob?

A key fob on your Audi is a remote control that attaches to your keychain and can remotely lock or unlock your car. This keyless entry system is very popular and is common on many Audio models. If you need to strip it open in order to replace the battery of the fob, you can disassemble it in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

    Press the key release button on the front of the key fob and the key will pop out.

  2. 2

    Insert the tip of a flathead screwdriver in the seam where the two halves of the key fob meet.

  3. 3

    Work your way around the side of the key fob until the two halves separate. Behind the top half of the fob you will find the green circuit board that controls the buttons. The battery will be located in the other half of the key fob.
