This disc lets you play any Netflix streaming movie on a television connected to the PS3. The Netflix streaming movie service also requires an active high-speed Internet connection.

Connect your PS3 to your Internet connection, if using a wired connection, with the included Ethernet cable. Press the "PlayStation" button in the centre of the controller, then select "Network Settings."

  2. 2

Select "Internet Connection Settings," then select "Yes" when asked if you would like to configure this connection.

Create a Netflix account by signing up at the Netflix website. Purchase an account plan that offers "instant streaming."

  6. 6

Request the "PS3 Instant Streaming Disc" from the Netflix website (see Resources). Netflix will mail the disc to you.

  7. 7

Place the disc into your PS3. Enter your account login name and password when prompted.

  8. 8

Log into your Netflix account on your computer and click "Activate." Enter the authorisation number that your television screen displays. Click "Activate." The PS3 is now activated.

  9. 9
