How to Play "Midtown Madness 2" Without the CD

Updated April 17, 2017

"Midtown Madness 2" (MM2) is an arcade driving simulator published by Microsoft Game Studios, in which players are free to explore the cities of London and San Francisco, and compete in a series of challenges. In order to play Midtown Madness 2 the game disc must be in the computer CD-ROM drive. However, if you have lost or broken your CD you can still play "Midtown Madness 2" by installing a "No CD" patch.

Download the "Midtown Madness 2" "No CD" ZIP file (see Resources).

Unzip the file using WinZip or similar software. Save the "Midtown2.exe" file to your desktop.

Click on the "Start" button in the taskbar and open "Windows Explorer."

Locate the "Midtown Madness 2" folder in the "Program Files" directory and double-click to open.

Click and drag the "Midtown2.exe" file from your desktop into the "Midtown Madness 2" folder. Press "OK" when prompted to overwrite the existing file.

The "No CD" patch may not work if the "Midtown Madness 2" official updates are installed on your computer.
