How to Restore a Packard Bell to Its Original State

Updated July 20, 2017

You may want to restore the operating system on the Packard Bell computer after you've replaced the hard drive or when your computer's operating system is no longer responsive or repairable. Restoring a Packard Bell computer to its original state requires that you either launch the system restore software directly from the computer's hard drive or that you obtain a system restore CD from the Packard Bell manufacturer. Both of these options allow you to successfully restore the original operating system that initially shipped with your Packard Bell computer.

Turn on your computer. Press the "F11" function key located at the top of the keyboard. This will allow you to navigate through the system restore options that include "Partial Recovery" and "Complete Recovery."

Click the "Complete Recovery" option to complete the process of restoring your Packard Bell to its original factory condition. This step should take 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Upon completion, end the system restore process by clicking on the "Finish" button.

Restart your Packard Bell computer to launch the operating system that is now restored to its original factory settings.
