How to Change the Headlight Bulbs on a Zafira

Updated February 21, 2017

The Zafira is a minivan branded jointly as Opel and Chevrolet. If its H7 headlights are burnt out or broken, they must be replaced, which is a simple and straightforward task. The headlight can be purchased at auto retail stores and through online vendors. No special tools are needed for the job, and no extraneous parts need to be removed. It takes about 10 minutes to replace each headlight.

Turn your headlights off. Turn off the Zafira engine. Prop open the bonnet with the bonnet support rod.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear of the headlight assembly by pressing in the side tabs with your fingers and pulling the wiring harness off.

Peel off the weather cap, and unscrew the headlight socket from the rear of the headlight assembly.

Disengage the metal clip securing the current headlight to the headlight assembly by pressing the metal clip.

Put on your latex gloves. Pull out the current headlight. Insert the replacement headlight into the headlight assembly, which is secured to the vehicle by four bolts. Secure the replacement headlight with the metal clip disengaged earlier. Replace the headlight socket and weather cap. Plug in the wiring harness.
