Motorola cell phones such as the RAZR, Tundra, Entice and DROID, have small keys on the side which perform specific functions. On most phones, these keys can turn the phone's volume up and down, or mute the sound altogether. This may be useful if you receive a call in a classroom or meeting. Some side buttons also open the phone's digital camera. If the camera is opened accidentally and runs for several hours, you may find your cell phone's battery completely drained. You can manipulate settings to lock the side buttons, if desired.
