How to Save the BlackBerry Memo Pad to a Media Card

Using a media card, or memory card, in your BlackBerry maximises the free space on your phone. The media card can be used to save ring tones, songs, voice memos, text memos from MemoPad, videos and even your pictures. Simply insert your media card into your phone to start using it and saving your phone a lot of memory.

    Press and hold the "Power" button to shut your phone off. Never work on your phone with the power on.

    Remove the battery cover from the back of your phone. If you cannot see the media card holder, remove the battery from the phone, as well.

    Unlock the media card cover by sliding the cover door towards "Unlock."

    Slide the media card into the slots of the card holder. Ensure that the metal prongs on the card align with the prongs on your phone.

    Slide the media card cover towards "Lock" to lock it into place.

  6. 6

    Replace the battery if it was removed, then replace the battery cover. Press and hold the "Power" button to turn your phone back on.

    Open your MemoPad, and compose a memo.

  8. 8

    Click the "Menu" key and select "Save" to save the memo to your media card.
