How to Reinstall an SCCM Client

Updated April 17, 2017

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is an application used in Microsoft Server environments to help manage the server and deploy virtual operating systems on the server. The client application for this software is installed on individual servers that are managed by the main SCCM server, and the clients allow the SCCM server program to distribute patches, updates and provide administration and management control.

Log in to the server that you want to reinstall the SCCM client on.

Click "Start" and then click "Control Panel."

Open the "Add or Remove Programs" or the "Programs and Features" application.

Click on the "SCCM Client" application and click "Remove" or "Uninstall."

Click on the "Reinstall/Repair SCCM Client" option and then click "OK."

Click "Next" to perform the reinstallation of the SCCM client software.
