The rear seat in a Toyota Camry conceals an access cover to the fuel pump that is located in the fuel tank. The seat bottom and the back need to be removed to access the pump cover. The metal seat frame secures the lower horizontal cushion. There are two metal hooks in the rear of the seat and two in the front. Bolts through a bracket secure the rear seat, which is an extension of the rear seat frame.

Look for the seat brackets, which are heavy metal rods formed in a square shape where the seat meets the floor. These brackets are installed into a floor-mounted hook, one on each side of the front of the seat.
Push in on the top of the seat, using both hands, directly above one of the hooks. The frame will give rearward, releasing the seat frame from the floor-mounted hook. Do the same for the opposite side.
Lift the seat front up, and pull it out of the car.
Remove the two bolts in the rear seat backrest bracket below the seat using the appropriate size socket.
Remove the bolt on either side of the backrest (close to the top side of the seat) using a socket. Pull the lower part of the seat outward, and the top will come loose so that the seat can be removed.
