Updated November 21, 2016

The General Electric Company manufactures the Hotpoint appliance brand, which includes dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, ovens, washers and dryers. The Hotpoint Ultima Extra washer is primarily available for purchase in Great Britain and is an electric washing machine that has several features, such as an interlocking door, electronic display panel, optional wash cycles and indicator lights. The washing machine is also compact in size, which may make it suitable for small spaces such as tight closets or apartments. Operating the Hotpoint Ultima washer is a relatively simple process.

Press the "On/Off" button to turn on the Ultima. Place the items to be washed inside the washer drum and close the door firmly.

Pull open the detergent drawer and add detergent to the fill mark. Close the detergent drawer.

Select the desired wash cycle, such as "Cottons" for most cotton fabrics, "Cool Wash" for delicate items, "Superwash" for heavier, more soiled items, or "Fast Wash" for a quicker washing time.

Press and hold the "Start/Cancel" button for at least three seconds. The "Door Locked" light will illuminate, indicate that the wash cycle is starting.

Press the "On/Off" button when the wash cycle is complete. Remove items from the washer.
