An ergometer measures the amount of effort you expend during a workout. The Schwinn Airdyne has a computer that functions as an ergometer. It tell you time you've been exercising, the speed you are pedalling, the approximate number of calories burnt and heart rate. You may need a Schwinn service call to repair the ergometer, but there are steps you can try first.
