How to remove accuride drawer slides

Updated February 21, 2017

Accuride drawer slides provide cabinet drawers with a smooth, ball-bearing controlled operation and a maintenance free lifetime. Whether you are refinishing or remodelling the cabinet, removing the drawers and slides is one of the first steps and accomplished by a simple procedure that is adaptable to all styles of Accuride drawer slides.

Open the drawer to its full extension.

Empty the drawer of its contents, if applicable.

Remove the drawer slide screws from both sides of the drawer to detach the drawer unit. For two-piece drawer slide models, simply detach the drawer from the fixed slide arms, then proceed to Step 4.

Leave the right extension slide arm extended and extract the mounting screws attaching the slide's stationary arm to the cabinet frame to remove the drawer slide.

Repeat Step 4 to complete removal of the left drawer slide.

Squeeze clamps can be used for "a third hand" to secure the drawer slide arms to the drawer sides during the removal of the slide arm screws.
