How to Access a Recovery Partition on a Packard Bell Desktop

Updated February 21, 2017

Accessing the recovery partition on a Packard Bell computer involves booting your computer into this partition as opposed to your computer's primary hard drive, which would just load Windows. Once booted into the recovery partition, you can use the tools on the screen to restore your computer back to its factory settings or repair the installation of your operating system. Doing this will require the use of the Windows XP CD-ROM that came with your Packard Bell desktop computer.

Insert your Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive in your Packard Bell computer.

Restart your Packard Bell computer.

Strike the "R" keyboard key to access the recovery partition on your Packard Bell desktop computer.
