Ladies Watch (women watch image by Leonid Nyshko from Fotolia.com)

Timex is a brand of casual watches, and it is known for the quality and affordability of its watches. Founded in 1854, it's one of the most recognised and established watch brands. Timex creates watches for men, women and children. The watches are mostly geared toward athletic individuals. Timex watches are noted for their Indiglo backlight, which many of the ladies watch models have.

Instructions

  1. 1

Check the logo on the face of the watch. The Timex logo is consistent on all watch models, and the Timex name is written in all caps just below the number 12, or the corresponding Roman numeral if a certain model is not in digits.

  2. 2

Check the shape of the watch face. Timex ladies watches are in proportional shapes and are circular, square or oblong.

  3. 3

Observe if the material used is consistent with the intended features for that model. For example, Timex digital ladies watches are made of moulded resin. Yet since materials vary with every model, you have to check the product information on the Timex website. On the back of your watch, there's a three-digit number toward the bottom. The font is very small so you may need to place it under light. Go to the Timex website and type in this number to obtain the product information for your watch.

  4. 4

Check the components of the watch face. Ladies models of Timex digital watches have the day on the upper left side, the time on the centre, the seconds on the right side and the month and day at the bottom. Make sure your watch has all of these elements.

  5. 5

Press the backlight activation button to see the colour of the backlight. The location of this backlight activation button varies by model; it can be above or below the face, or on the side, specifically on the upper-left corner. The backlight for ladies Timex Indiglo watches is more turquoise than purple. Other ladies Timex watches have a greenish light, so refer to the Timex website to check the right colour of your watch's backlight.
