AutoCAD lets you create 3D models of objects on your computer. You can use it to create a model for a house, automobile, structure and more. 3D Studio Max lets you create 3D objects that you can use in animations and video games. Both programs use some of the same file extensions, such as DXF (Drawing Interchange Format) and DWG (Drawing). Therefore, you can import objects that you made in AutoCAD into a project in 3D Studio Max.
