How to Insert the Squared Symbol on an iPhone

The iPhone is available in several versions. In all the versions, the basic keyboard functions have remained unchanged. Users can gain access to the advanced symbols by making a few selections on the iPhone keyboard. An iPhone user can add the squared symbol into documents, e-mails and text messages easily using the onscreen keyboard.

    Press the "Home" button on the iPhone.

    Slide your finger across the bottom of the screen to unlock the iPhone.

    Locate and select the "Notes" icon.

    Select the "+" at the top of the screen.

    Press the ".?123?" icon located at the bottom of the keyboard. This brings up the number and symbol keyboard.

    Press the "#+=" icon located directly above the ".?123?" icon. This opens the special character screen.

  7. 7

    Select the "^" symbol located on the top row.

  8. 8

    Press the "123" icon located on the lower left side of the keyboard.

  9. 9

    Press the number "2." You have now written a squared symbol.
