The Toshiba A100 computer uses the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. When your A100 will not boot, you are probably facing a problem with your start-up disk. Your start-up disk is what tells the computer how to boot the system. Fixing this problem is not hard and will not require the skills of a computer programmer. You can do it yourself with little hassle and just a few minutes of time.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Boot your computer while pressing down on the "F8" key. This will get you into the Advanced Boot Options menu.

  2. 2

Click on the option that reads "Repair your computer" from the menu screen and press the "Enter" key.

  3. 3

Select the keyboard layout that your computer is using, then click on the "Next" button.

  4. 4

Click the "Startup Repair" option from the menu.

  5. 5

Wait as your computer repairs the start-up disk on your system.
