The Toshiba A100 computer uses the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. When your A100 will not boot, you are probably facing a problem with your start-up disk. Your start-up disk is what tells the computer how to boot the system. Fixing this problem is not hard and will not require the skills of a computer programmer. You can do it yourself with little hassle and just a few minutes of time.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Boot your computer while pressing down on the "F8" key. This will get you into the Advanced Boot Options menu.

    Click on the option that reads "Repair your computer" from the menu screen and press the "Enter" key.

    Select the keyboard layout that your computer is using, then click on the "Next" button.

  4. 4

    Click the "Startup Repair" option from the menu.

  5. 5

    Wait as your computer repairs the start-up disk on your system.
