How to Remove Bosch Wiper Blades

Updated February 21, 2017

Bosch wiper blades make up a vital piece of safety equipment for your vehicle. Without wiper blades, you would not be able to see when rain, snow or mud come in contact with your windshield, putting you in danger of a collision. The wiper blades wear out over time as they sit in the baking heat of the summer and the freezing cold of the winter, causing the rubber to become brittle. Worn-out Bosch wiper blades will not clean the windshield completely, leaving streaks that block your field of vision.

Lift up each of the wiper arms away from the windshield. Make sure each arm will not snap back toward the windshield before you let go of it.

Place a towel on the windshield to protect it against the wiper arms in case you accidentally bump them.

Swivel the wiper blade so it points toward the windshield. Press on the small plastic tab located next to the metal hook on the arm.

Push the blade down the wiper arm slightly to remove the clip assembly from the hook. Pull the assembly and the wiper blade off the wiper arm.
