How to Override an Admin Set Desktop Background

The administrator account holder controls all settings on the network and on your computer. If you have an account on your computer with administrator privileges, you can override the main administrator's desktop settings including the background. This is beneficial if you have a client computer you want to set up, but the background was set by the administrator when you received the computer.

    Log in to your machine with the main computer's administrator account name or your own username that has administrative privileges.

    Right-click the desktop on your computer. Select "Personalize." In the opened window, click "Personalization." This opens a configuration window.

    Click "Desktop Background." Choose a background image from the drop-down labelled "Windows Wallpaper."

  4. 4

    Click "OK" to save your settings. The background image changes immediately.
