How to Replace the Ford Focus' Car Antenna

If the antenna on your Ford Focus becomes damaged, your radio reception will suffer greatly. But fear not, this isn't the sort of damage that requires a costly visit to an auto shop. The Focus' antenna is designed to be removed easily, and replacing it is quite simple. All you need is the replacement antenna and about five minutes of your afternoon.

Learn the model year of your Focus if you don't already know it.

Purchase a new antenna. You can find replacements in some auto parts stores and at most Ford dealerships, as well as online at many auto parts websites.

Unscrew the damaged antenna from its base, twisting it in a counter-clockwise direction until it comes free.

Screw the new antenna into the base, twisting it in a clockwise direction until it is secure.
