If you own a sentimental snow globe that is special to you and your family, keep it looking its best by changing out the water regularly. Although you cannot change the water in a sealed snow globe, many modern snow globes have removable bases that make it easy to replace the water. Your family will enjoy seeing the snow globe scene through fresh, clear water, rather than squinting to see through cloudy or dirty water.

Hold the snow globe upside down.

Unscrew the bottom of the base from the globe.

Pull out the stopper located in the interior of the top portion of the base.

Pour out the water from the globe into a sink.
