Hotmail users can view their Hotmail account in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Office Outlook 2007. Configuring Outlook to read your Hotmail is a simple process. You must download the Outlook Connector to access your Hotmail through Outlook. Configuring your Outlook to access Hotmail allows you to keep the convenience of Web-based e-mail but also use the features of an e-mail program such as calendar and increased storage space.
Go to Hotmail.msn.com and click "Sign Up" to create a Hotmail account, if you are not already a Hotmail user. Make a note of your log in information.
Exit Outlook. Go to the Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector page and click "Download." When prompted to save or open the file, click "Save." When prompted to run the program, click "Run." Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the install.
Open Outlook. When prompted to configure the Outlook Connector, enter your Hotmail address, your password and your name in the dialogue box. Click "OK." Your Hotmail account should now appear in the Navigation Pane, along the left side of your screen.
