The Compact Disc plus Graphics (CDG) format stores a low-resolution file along with a music track on a CD. Software and music developers typically use the CDG format for karaoke programs so that graphics and text display while a music track is playing.

Whether you want to create compilations from different karaoke CDs or simply create a backup of expensive CDG discs, you can copy the contents of the karaoke disc to your computer just as you would from any other CD or hard drive.

    Insert the karaoke or CDG CD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer.

    Click "Start" and click "Computer."

    Double-click the icon for your CD or DVD drive to display the contents of the CD.

    Press the "Ctrl" and "A" keys at the same time to select all the files on the CD. Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy the files to the Windows Clipboard.

    Browse to the folder where you want to copy the CDG files. Press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys at the same time to paste the CDG files into the folder. Alternatively, right-click inside the folder and then click the "Paste" option on the pop-up menu.
