How to Load a Ricoh Copier Staple Cartridge

Updated February 21, 2017

Ricoh offers a wide range of office products, such as printers and copiers. Its extensive line of copiers includes both black-and-white and colour multifunction copiers. Multifunction copiers allow users to copy, print, scan and fax. Some Ricoh copiers have the ability to group together and staple documents. Inevitably, the staples will run out, at which point you will need to remove the cartridge and the stapler refill unit to get it up and running again for your documents.

Open the finisher cover by pulling the cover open. The finisher is the area right next to the output tray. You will now see the stapler cartridge.

Hold the lever located on the cartridge down while pulling the cartridge out of the copier. Hold both sides of the stapler cartridge with one hand while raising the upper unit with the other.

Remove the empty stapler refill in the direction of the arrow, away from the stapler cartridge. Push the new refill into the cartridge until you hear it click into place.

Push the upper unit down onto the cartridge until it locks into place. The stapler refill is now secure in the cartridge. Pull the ribbon attached to the refill unit out of the cartridge.

Hold the stapler cartridge lever down while pushing the unit back into the Ricoh copier. Continue to push the cartridge until it clicks securely into place. Close the front finisher cover. The copier and staple unit is now ready to use.
