PowerPoint is the presentation tool released by Microsoft in 1989 as part of the Office suite of applications. PowerPoint helps users create presentations and slide shows incorporating text, images, sound, video and other media using a simple graphical interface. PowerPoint has a number of built-in templates, and newer versions of PowerPoint allow you to search Microsoft's template database from within the application. This article relates to PowerPoint 2010, though other versions of PowerPoint have similar commands.
Click on "File," "New," and then click on the box that says "Search Office.com for templates." Here, you can search for any number of existing PowerPoint templates from the Microsoft database.
Type "scroll" into the search box and press "Enter." You should also try related search terms to find similar templates. Words like "papyrus," "certificate" and "bible" will locate similar PowerPoint templates. Be creative in your searches.
Click on the template you want to use, and click "Download" to add it to your collection. Your selected template will open automatically in a new presentation.
