A SIM card is used by most GSM-based wireless cell phone services, saving everything from contact data to old voice mails directly to the card. If you want to read this information on a computer, such as the HP Compaq NC6400 laptop, you can directly connect the SIM card to the system. Any saved data from the card can be imported onto the hard drive of the laptop.
