Remove the headphones from the plastic packaging. There should be two separate pieces: the headphone with a short cord attached and an extender.
Grab the extender, which should have a 40mm end on both ends. Plug one of the ends into the headphone unit with the short cord. There is a connector on the end of it to facilitate this action.
Plug the remaining end with the 40mm plug into whatever audio source you wish, whether it's a computer, iPod, CD player or record player.
Adjust the volume by using the volume adjuster on the attached cord. This unit sits about halfway down on your plug-in jack. You can make them completely silent with this adjuster.
