How to Use Skullcandy Lowrider
Headphone information (headphones image by Charles Taylor from

Skullcandy, a relatively new company to personal audio, makes headphones of all types for both personal and professional audio. Their types consist of in-the-ear, over-the-ear and on-the-ear. The Lowrider model is an on-the-ear headphone that comes in more than 15 different colours like plaid, white print and multi-stripe. The cost of the Lowrider headphone, depending on your retailer, is anywhere from £19 to £26.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Remove the headphones from the plastic packaging. There should be two separate pieces: the headphone with a short cord attached and an extender.

  2. 2

Grab the extender, which should have a 40mm end on both ends. Plug one of the ends into the headphone unit with the short cord. There is a connector on the end of it to facilitate this action.

  3. 3

Plug the remaining end with the 40mm plug into whatever audio source you wish, whether it's a computer, iPod, CD player or record player.

  4. 4

Adjust the volume by using the volume adjuster on the attached cord. This unit sits about halfway down on your plug-in jack. You can make them completely silent with this adjuster.
