The Panasonic DVD player has options for customisation. However, if you receive an error message on your DVD player or TV screen when you try to play a DVD, you may need to reset the factory defaults. It will erase any presets you have previously set. Resetting the device may or may not fix the problem. If it does not alleviate the issue, contact the Panasonic customer service department for further assistance. This reset method covers the Panasonic DVD-RV32, DVD-RV27 and DVD-RV22.

Check to make sure there are no DVDs inside the machine. Press the "Eject" button on your Panasonic DVD player to remove any discs inside.

Press the "Power" button until you see the red standby light appear on the front panel.

Power the DVD player back on by pressing the Power button again. If this is unsuccessful in fixing the problem, continue to Step 4.

Unplug the DVD player's power cable.

Plug the cable back in and then press the DVD player's Power button to turn it back on.
