Onkyo is a modern audio/video receiver that employs an automated system to determine speaker distance, delay, and equalisation. Many audiophiles do not wish to have this function in the signal chain, opting instead to trust their own abilities in setting up a receiver. Simple menu navigation within the receiver allows you to bypass the speaker set-up.
