Skype is a free online voice chat and instant message program that allows you to text and voice chat with other Skype users. Similar to many instant message programs, Skype uses sounds to indicate chat status such as when you have received a new message, when you send a new message, when you have an incoming call or when a friend comes online. The sounds used in Skype are in the .wav sound format. You can replace the standard sounds with your own custom sounds as long as they are in the .wav format.
