An Oyster card is a prepaid plastic card used on the underground “Tube” system in London, England. Oyster cards are roughly the same size as credit cards and are usually stored in a small plastic wallet that is supplied with the oyster card. Making your own Oyster card holder is a simple process using duct tape. This holder can be used for similar metro cards from other cities.

Things you need
- Duct tape
Cut pieces of duct tape that are 2 inches longer than your Oyster card or other metro card.
Lay one piece of duct tape horizontally on a flat surface, the adhesive side facing up. Overlap pieces of duct tape, starting at the centre of the first piece with the adhesive side facing upward. All of the horizontal edges should be parallel to one another. Finish overlapping the tape when the overlapped piece is approximately 2 inches wider than an Oyster card or other metro card.
Overlap pieces of tape in the same manner, only this time the adhesive is facing down. Press the new pieces of tape down to seal the shell of the card holder.
Fold any exposed edges and press down to seal.
Repeat the above process to create a card pocket. Cut pieces of duct tape that are 1 inch longer than the card and finish overlapping pieces when the overlapped piece is half the width of the card.
Tape the pocket to either side of the card holder shell. Tape three sides of the pocket and leave the top opening exposed.
Insert the Oyster card into the pocket.
Customise the holder using coloured duct tape, stickers or other embellishments.
