Create an elegant silk pillow that features a favourite photo with the use of a computer and inkjet printer. Silk is a luxurious fabric that absorbs colour well, making it a natural for this method of printing photographs on fabric often used by quilt makers. Photographs printed on silk can also be used as flags or banners commemorating a special occasion or the birth of a child. Wash the silk fabric with the shampoo. Rinse, dry and iron the silk.
Using the iron, press the silk onto the waxy side of a 9.5-by-12-inch piece of freezer paper.
Cut the silk/paper to 8.5 by 11 inches. Make sure no loose silk threads are hanging, or they will jam the printer.
