How to Tighten Eye Skin

The skin around the eyes is very thin and delicate. It is easy for this skin to wrinkle and become baggy or loose. This can result from stress, age or any health issue that is putting a strain on the body. It is best to take steps to remedy the situation as soon as you notice it. There are a few home remedies that you can use to help tighten the loose skin.

Stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water. When you are dehydrated, the skin around your eyes may loosen. Drinking a lot of water will also help flush any toxins out of your body that may be causing the loose skin.

Get at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep but no more than 10 hours. Most loose skin around the eyes is due to lack of sleep.

Slice cucumbers into thin slices and place them over your eyes and lie down. Keep the cucumbers over your eyes for about 20 minutes. The cucumber will soothe irritated areas around your eyes.

Beat egg whites together thoroughly and dab them onto the loose skin. The egg whites will help tighten and pull up the skin.

Wash your face with several splashes of warm water, followed by several splashes of cold water to rinse. The warm water opens your pores, allowing you to thoroughly clean the skin, while the cold water closes the pores, causing the skin to tighten.
