One of the many benefits of using a smartphone is the ability to synchronise various features across multiple platforms on your phone. In fact, if you use an e-mail provider that supports a sync capability with most smartphones, you may never need to enter your address book on your portable device manually. One e-mail provider with this capability is Gmail. Since Gmail supports sync capability with smartphones such as the iPhone, Windows Mobile devices and Blackberry, you can use your Gmail contacts in these phones without needing to enter them manually.

    Windows Mobile Smartphones

    Open the Active Sync application on your phone's home screen and then select "Set up your device."
