How to Clean Glass Shower Screens

Updated February 21, 2017

Glass shower screens provide an attractive alternative to the traditional vinyl shower curtain, adding a crisp, clean finish to your shower stall area. These screens are designed to last for a long time, unlike vinyl disposable shower curtains that can be tossed in the trash and replaced every few months. This means you need to keep the glass shower screen clean so it can hold its like-new appearance during its period of use in your shower.

Mix equal portions of hot water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Pour 1 tbsp of dish soap into the bottle if your shower screen has heavy soap scum build-up.

Spray the solution onto your glass shower screen. Let the solution stand on the glass for five minutes.

Scrub over the glass shower screen with a nylon scrub brush until all residue is gone, and rinse the screen with hot water.

Spray the cleaning solution onto the shower screen after each use of the shower to keep build-up at a minimum.
