How to transfer an email address book from one ISP to another

Updated February 21, 2017

Oftentimes when you switch Internet provides you are given a new e-mail address. This is a nice feature, however, you may have a large address book with your older e-mail account, and it can be very tedious writing down each e-mail account and saving them into your new e-mail account. Thankfully, there is a way to simply transfer your entire e-mail address book from the old account to your new one.

Log onto your old e-mail account. Once there click the "Contacts" tab and all your contact information appears on the screen.

Select "Import/Export." A list of options appears on the screen. Select "CSV" and click "Export." This exports your e-mail address book to the computer. Choose a location on the system to save the files to and click "OK."

Log into your new ISP e-mail address and choose the "Contacts" option.

Select "Import" and choose "Browse." A browse window now loads onto the screen. Select the CSV file you saved and click "OK." Your entire e-mail address book now uploads to your new e-mail account.
