Graphic representations of the sun, moon and stars are popular on greeting cards, on signs, in story books and tattoos. These drawings are easy to make and they're almost universally recognised, even though the graphic representations look almost nothing like the real thing. These three elements may be placed together on a page as a theme, or they may be drawn separately.

Things you need
Draw a circle, to represent the sun itself.
Draw four wavy lines pointing to the centre of the sun--one over the top of the sun, one beneath the sun, one to the left, and one to the right. These represent the sun's rays. The wavy lines should be an equal distance from the shape of the sun itself.
Draw four more wavy lines, shorter than the ones you drew in Step 2. Angle these lines to point to the centre of the sun, but place them in between the lines you drew in Step 2. These also represent rays of light.
Draw a line shaped like a C.
Put your pencil on the C at the point where the line ends on top.
Draw a second line inside the C, starting from the point where you put down your pencil, and following the curve of the C itself. End the line at the bottom point of the C, creating a full enclosed shape. You have drawn a "new moon" shape.
Draw a circle. Make the line lightly so it may be erased later.
Draw five points, evenly distributed, around the perimeter of the circle. Lightly label the points A, B, C, D and E, in order clockwise.
Draw five straight lines through the centre of the circle: from point A to point C, from point A to point D, from point E to point B, from point E to point C, and from point D to point B.
Erase the circle and the letters. You have just drawn a five-pointed star.
