How to make sage tea from ground sage

Sage is not only a culinary herb but a medicinal herb as well. Some people enjoy sage in savoury foods, and others opt to use sage for health maladies such as fevers and colds. Try sage tea using ground sage to soothe a dry or scratchy throat.

    Put 1 tsp the ground sage into a teapot.

    Add water to a teakettle and bring it to a near boil.

    Pour the hot water into the teapot. Cover the teapot and allow the sage tea to steep for approximately 15 minutes.

    Pour the sage tea into a cup. Add milk and honey to the tea, if you like.

  • Do not drink more than one cup of sage tea at a time, because it may disturb your digestive system.
