How to Replace the Fuse in a JVC 27-Inch Tube TV

Updated February 21, 2017

Tube-based televisions use fuses to power the TV and send out the electrical signal to the rest of the set. If the fuse blows out, the TV is not going to function and will appear to not receive any power. If this happens on your JVC 27-inch tube television set, you need to replace the fuse; this task takes a few minutes to perform once you have the fuse in hand.

Check your user manual for the fuse type required. Because there are many different 27-inch JVC televisions, there are different required fuses.

Power down the television and disconnect it from any electrical source.

Open the fuse compartment on the rear of the TV. Depending on the model you have, you may need to either lift up a lid or remove the Phillips screws on the small compartment panel on the TV.

Slide out the fuse from the JVC TV and insert the new fuse in its place. You can find these fuses at some electronic stores and most TV repair stores.

Close the fuse compartment and power the TV back up.
