How to check a PC performance rating speed test online

An online speed test is a way to test the capabilities of your computer. These tests are free and easy to perform. With an Internet connection and a compatible web browser, check your computer's performance and view the results. Speed tests will monitor your Internet bandwidth speed and the speed of your computer.

    Go to the CPU Info website. On the site, you will be able to check your computer's speed with a free, simple test.

    Download "cpuinfo.exe." from the main page of the website. An "exe" file will be downloaded temporarily to your computer. When the download has finished, open the file.

    Run the "cpuinfo.exe" file. A window will open to display your system's performance. The descriptions on the main page will guide you through your computer's measurements and their meaning. Close the window when you are finished viewing the ratings.

    Go to the CPU Info website.

    Choose the "Test your Internet bandwidth" option in the top-right corner of the website. Select your location from the following map by clicking the red dot nearest to you.

    Start the test. When the Java application loads, choose the "Click to start test" button in the top-left corner of the application.
