Updated April 17, 2017

Google Earth, a computer-based map and globe program, was released in 2005. Before then, it was known as Earthviewer3D. Google Earth offers many intriguing features, including a flight simulator, sky mode and street view. Street view is one of Google Earth's more popular features, as it offers a ground-level view of many streets throughout the world. If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, you can take full advantage of the street view feature with just a few simple steps.

Click "Start" in the bottom left hand corner of your desktop and then click "All Programs."

Click on the "Google Earth" folder and click on the "Google Earth" icon.

Click on the "Layers" tab to expand it.

Scroll down until you see "Street View" and then click the box to the left of it until a check mark appears in the box.
