Google Earth, a computer-based map and globe program, was released in 2005. Before then, it was known as Earthviewer3D. Google Earth offers many intriguing features, including a flight simulator, sky mode and street view. Street view is one of Google Earth's more popular features, as it offers a ground-level view of many streets throughout the world.
