Sony Vegas is a professional video editing program aimed at the consumer market. When using Sony Vegas, video files are saved with the VEG file extension. Launch Sony Vegas on your computer. Click "File" and "Open" to open the Sony Vegas video file. It will have the VEG file extension.
Open the "File" menu again. Select "Render As" from the available options.
Choose "AVI" under the "Save As Type" menu. Pick a destination folder for the new AVI file and rename it if you want.
