Updated March 23, 2017

AOL e-mail is one of the popular e-mail providers out there. Like other e-mail providers, you can send and receive e-mails from other users. You can also upload an e-mail to Microsoft Word if you want to send the file as an attachment to someone else, or if you want to edit the email information for a different purpose. Using a simple copy and paste step, see how easy it is to upload your AOL e-mail to Microsoft Word.

Log in to your AOL e-mail account using your sign-on name and password, and open the email you want to upload to Microsoft Word.

Select the entire message and right-click the selection. Click "Copy."

Launch Microsoft Word from its location on your computer and click "File." Next, click "New" to create a new document.

Right-click the document and click "Paste" to download the email to Microsoft Word. Alternatively, click "Edit" and select "Paste Special" for additional uploading options. Select the format you want to use and click "OK."

Click the "File" menu and select "Save as" to launch the file-saving window. Select the target folder to save the document to, and type a name for the document. Click "Save" to save the document on your computer.
