There is nothing fun about driving when it is pouring with rain. Not only is there the fear of hydroplaning, but even seeing the road can be quite a challenge. Well if you have a Hyundai Santa Fe, then you're in luck, because in just 10 minutes you can install a fresh set of windscreen wipers so that you're ready for adverse weather conditions on the road.
Find the nut located at the bottom of the wiper arm.
Loosen the nut with an adjustable wrench. Once loosened, remove the wiper arm and set the nut aside in a safe place.
Slide the old wiper blade off by pressing down on the release tab, while simultaneously pulling down on the wiper blade until it comes off. Once you have removed it, you can discard the wiper blade.
Push the new wiper blade along the wiper arm track until it snaps into place.
Reattach the wiper arm to the car by placing the wiper arm over the nut and using your wrench to tighten the nut.
Repeat this procedure on the other wiper arm to finish the job.
In the owner's manual of the Hyundai Santa Fe, they suggest that one never operates wiper blades on a dry windshield. Not only will it cause the rubber to wear faster on the wiper blade, but it may actually scratch the glass. If the nut becomes rusted or stripped, replace the nut which secures the wiper arms and wiper blades to your Hyundai Santa Fe. To clean your wiper blades take a damp, clean cloth and wipe them from top to bottom to remove dirt and debris.
