When you sell Avon products, you are in charge of your own business and how you run that business has a profound impact on your earning power. If you want to enjoy success as an Avon representative, you need to treat your Avon sales as a business, and that means marketing it effectively. As an Avon representative, you have the reputation and power of the Avon brand behind you, but you must still do your part to make your business a success.

  1. 1

Contact the individuals who run local farmers markets, flea markets and similar sales venues. Rent a booth or table at these markets and use it to sell your Avon products.

  2. 2

Take an assortment of Avon products with you to your workplace. Be sure to check with your supervisor first, since some businesses have antisolicitation policies that prevent employees from selling items.

  3. 3

Print up business cards with your name, phone number, e-mail address and website if you have one. Use those business cards to build your Avon business by handing them out to people you meet every day.

  4. 4

Set up a profile on popular social media websites and use those sites to market your Avon products. Include a link to your website if you have one and indicate the types of Avon products you sell when you set up your personal and professional profile.

  5. 5

Place an Avon sign in the front yard of your home. Include your phone number on the sign if you want potential customers to contact you at home.

  6. 6

Wear Avon clothing, perfume, jewellery and make-up on a regular basis. Be prepared to tell those who compliment your style about your Avon business.

  7. 7

Carry small sample products with you and hand them out to people you meet. Give those people a few sample products along with your business card. Invite those you meet to contact you for additional products.

  8. 8

Persist at increasing your sales and seeking out new clients. Follow up with those to whom you have given brochures and solicit the names of others you can reach out to as well. Work your network and use it to find new potential clients and grow your Avon business.
