Ice cream cake is a delicious treat during the hot summer months, though many people enjoy ice cream cakes throughout the year. The perks of an ice cream cake is that you get both cake and ice cream in the same dish. Use any flavour of ice cream in your ice cream cake. Once the ice cream cake is finished, use regular frosting to decorate it any way you choose. Use the colours and flavours to fit themes as well. For example, an orange sherbet with chocolate cake and green frosting is perfect for Halloween.
