The iPhone is an Internet multimedia smartphone designed by Apple, Inc. It can work as a phone, media player and Internet client. The Apple website specifically states to remove the SIM card before sending the phone in for repair. It also allows the user to keep her settings when she upgrades to a newer version of the iPhone.

- SIM ejector tool or paper clip
Locate the SIM tray on your iPhone. It is the centre oval at the top of the iPhone. There is a small hole that the SIM ejector tool or a small thin paper clip can fit into.
Stick the SIM ejector tool or paper clip into the hole and press firmly until the tray pops out.
Pull the tray the rest of the way out with your fingers. Remove the ejector tool or paper clip from the tray.
Remove the SIM card from the tray. Place a new SIM card in the tray and reinsert the tray into the iPhone. Press firmly until the tray is flush with the outer casing of the phone.
Tips and warnings
- The tray will only fit into the iPhone one way. You cannot reinsert incorrectly.
