Facebook is a popular social networking site that allows friends to connect and share photos, updates, videos and links. If you're making a status update on Facebook and want to try something a bit different, consider using strike-through text. Although normal HTML coding doesn't work on Facebook status updates, you can use a special online tool to create unicode strike-through text that you can copy and paste, then post for your friends to see.

Go to adamvarga.com/strike/.

Delete the existing text in the Input box, and type in the text you would like to post with a strike-through.

Log in to your Facebook profile at facebook.com, and click the text box at the top of your profile window to enter a new update.

Right-click on the status update text box, and select "Paste." Your strike-through text will appear in the status update box.

Finish your status update, and then click on "Post" or press "Enter" on your keyboard. Your status update containing the strike-through text will appear on your profile.

TIP

Use the same method to post strike-through text in comments.
