How to Cancel AOL Internet Membership and Keep Free Email Account

AOL offers a variety of paid dial-up Internet service plans as well as a premium broadband service. As part of your paid AOL membership, you will receive an AOL e-mail account. If you want to cancel your paid AOL membership, AOL will allow you to keep your e-mail account, and the account will be converted to a free account. You can cancel your AOL paid membership if you decide to do so through the "My Account" system on AOL.

Go to the "My Account" home page on AOL.

Enter your AOL username and password. Click the "Sign In" button.

Answer the security question and click the "Continue" button.

Click the "Manage My Subscriptions" link.

Click the "Cancel Billing" option.

Select the reason you want to cancel your paid AOL account from the drop-down menu and click the "Cancel My Billing" button. AOL will cancel your paid account and your e-mail account be automatically converted to a free AOL e-mail account.
